My students need good quality headphones to use with our classroom Chromebooks. Using headphones and technology is a tool that is frequently used in our classroom. We often use programs like Lexia and Imagine Math where the students learn on an individualized learning program. Headphones are needed for listening so each student can focus on their own program without being distracted by another student's computer. In my classroom, we practice oral communication and listening skills every day. Listening to good examples of speaking helps students to improve their own use of oral language. Using technology in the classroom, allows students to listen and respond. Our computer programs allow students to do just that. As they continue to do so, their listening and comprehension skills will improve.
