Snap circuits allow students to apply the engineering problem-solving process while learning how electricity makes things work. This process takes time, collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. Almost everything we use needs electricity to work. The snap circuits provided through this Donors Choose project will enhance our STEM curriculum by giving students a hands-on approach to learning about electricity. Through applying what students have learned in Science class and some trial and error, students learn for themselves how circuits work AND don't work. The typical electricity project involves only a single circuit with 2 wires and a battery which lights a small bulb. Snap circuits allow creativity to light up, switch on and off sounds and create motion -- a much more engaging way to learn!
