These materials will help students practice the skills they are learning and to associate capital letters with the lowercase letters. They can also count and match the correct number. This can help students master one to one counting. I have some students who are Spanish speaking and the repetition of matching and counting can help them work through skills they struggle with. I also have students who excell in skills and they can use these materials with peers to help master skills and to gain skills for helping and empathy towards students who struggle. These materials can be used to help students who struggle or reinforce skills for students who are almost there with a skill. The letter locks can help students match lowercase letters to capital letters. Students who are better with hands-on learning can use the locks to find matching letters. The number locks can help a child practice and master one to one counting and number recognition. The number recognition manipulatives can also help a student with counting and number recognition skills.
