In order for students to become lifelong learners, teachers need to provide them with opportunities of creating and designing in the classroom at a young age where they are not intimidated by new challenges. Through the use of a MacBook, my students will be able to create a tremendous number of projects, such as Science videos with STEM. This device will allow them to create what they want as soon as their inspiration strikes. I want my students to take ownership. This will be possible by using all the different apps that can be used through the MacBook. Introducing them to applying their science and math skills through something as tangible as creating and producing videos out of their own imagination is a skill they need to become career and college ready. I want them to be prepared for the technological world that awaits them when they graduate. Students nowadays need to be exposed to the tools that make today's world work. By the time they graduate, the workforce will be requiring them to be able to use all this technology. I am sure they will acquire all the skills necessary for their future. I believe in empowering students in their own learning. Letting them be creative and finding their passion is my main goal as a teacher. My students are already becoming engineers at age seven by building various things with our previously donated 3D printer. I want them to open up their imagination even more with a MacBook and everything else I can to introduce them to this technological, engineered world.
