My students are diving into the magical world of reading. They are learning about the power of words both written and spoken. Reading opens doors and creates paths of opportunity! We are in a newer school with limited resources. Using hands on material allows the students to be more engaged in the learning process. Having a variety of tools at their fingertips will allow them to reach new goals and increase their love of learning. Word tiles and linking cubes will let the students practice their phonics skills and improve their spelling and vocabulary. This in turn will help them soar in reading and writing. The products I have chosen will give more variety and resources to my class and allow them to progress. These products will help students take responsibility and initiative in their learning.
