Libraries can be a sanctuary for many students, especially for those who might feel like outsiders in the mainstream hallways. It's a place where students ought to come to discover things about the world and about themselves. The more comfortable the furniture is, the more likely students will want to spend their time on those cozy chairs, exploring the stories of the universe. These new bean bag chairs and Papasan chair will be major players in our new campaign to welcome students to the East Carteret High School Library. We want out students to come to the library media center, not only with their classes and online classes, but mostly for themselves! It's our hope that students will find these new chairs as invitations to relax, read, and discover. We think these chairs will be a major first step in making our library media center more students friendly.
