In this virtual new world, it will be challenging, but not impossible to allow students the opportunity to embrace each piece of literature; but students will still have the opportunity to engage in book clubs and/or read alouds with the books selected that feature characters their age, background and ethnicity. Our students need to see themselves in order to help learning come alive for them. As black history month and women's history month will soon be upon us, I am excited to offer my students the opportunity to engage in lessons that will provide new literature to spark imagination and inspire them to not just dream, but VISION a future filled with unlimited possibilities.
