Providing a space that is comfortable and inviting to students is a goal for me to achieve for my third grade students. This space will be available not only for whole group class time, but also for small group settings, one on one time with teacher and a quiet space for independent student reading. My student learning abilities vary in reading and math. It is crucial for me to provide an area that allows me to meet with students and provide intervention lessons that reteach concepts to students who are having difficulty grasping understanding in these areas. The rug area space will also provide for whole group community meetings and activities that will build and enrich on communication skills, trust, and for a safe and positive environment.

About my class
