Students become better readers the more that they read. It only takes one special book to hook a child for life. My goal is to find those books for my students and make them accessible every day. I also hope that my students will began to encourage each other to read once they become more engaged themselves. Having a variety of books readily available in my classroom will make these goals much more achievable. This classroom library will include fiction and nonfiction. It will also include award-winning books that will expose students to a variety of genres and introduce them to new and exciting types of books.

About my class
