Basic supplies such as gel packs to sooth minor injuries so children are able to remain in school and experience the success of completion of a day of school are important in building a strong self concept. Accurate thermometers allow for a more precise health assessment, keeping a student in school when not ill or sending them home when necessary. Surgical masks to mitigate spread of infectious diseases protect the affected individual student as well as the entire student body during times such as flu season. Providing a hand up to these little ones---who are the last, lost, least and left out---grooms our students to be productive, compassionate and happy citizens. Healthy students are successful students. Having these supplies makes this day to day assistance possible. Students must feel safe in order to learn. Knowing they have a clean, well supplied clinic to come to when they are hurt or ill is one of the first steps toward helping them feel cared for and safe.
