When a student reads, they learn new words and new ways to learn those words. For my students learning French, being able to read books at their level boosts their ability to understand and communicate in French. To keep my students excited about learning French, I would like to give them a variety of books to choose from that are about topics that they connect with. I have decided that having two copies of a title will allow students to read together and discuss what they are reading. Sharing what they have understood helps them synthesize the new words they are learning. We can have a book club in French class!
