I currently have 20 students in my class but only have enough available seating for 15 students. Five students are expected to remain seated on the floor or go through a daily rotation so each child has a chance to sit at a table or on a chair. This is why I am inquiring about more flexible seating: chairs/wobble stools. I am inquiring about playground scooters for my students to become more active. Our playground consists of two slides and a basketball hoop in which the children are too young and too small to use. We do not have swings, a see-saw, sandbox, etc. for students to become more involved. I would love to be able to acquire new scooters for my students to use, even on a rainy day (as our play area is undercover and on concrete). Teaching young students, we work a lot with our hands and create many hands-on projects. I do not have a place to store students work when painting. Children are able to create works of art but are never able to fully enjoy their art at home because we do not have space to spread out work to dry before hanging up or sending home. My last request is for a new water/sand table. The current table we have was found in an outdoor shed. There are broken pieces and pieces missing. The separator for the sand and water has been misplaced and students are constantly spilling materials on the floor. This new table is also on wheels which will make for an easier clean up and transportation purposes. As I mentioned previously, our playground is very scarce, I would love to bring my current table outside for a second option for students to use during recess.
