So far we have used the Keva planks to build a fence to keep our carrots in the garden, hide our turkeys so they won't be a part of Thanksgiving dinner, and build the tallest tower with a limited number of planks. \r\n\r\nAll the materials enhance our lessons by helping them to take abstract concepts to a meaningful hands-on learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1758468665981,"projectUrl":"project/collaboration-meets-imagination/9709044/","projectTitle":"Collaboration Meets Imagination!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Eakin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10038628_orig.jpg?crop=2359,2359,x223,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757629326157","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10038628"},{"teacherId":4696692,"projectId":9200331,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! Since receiving the wiggle seats, floor desks, and kick bands, my students and I have been integrating these resources into our daily routines with great excitement. The flexible seating has transformed our learning environment—students are now more focused and engaged during independent work and group activities. One specific moment that stood out was during a collaborative reading circle: students chose their preferred seating, and it was amazing to see how comfortably and calmly they discussed the story, free from the distractions of discomfort or restlessness. These tools have made it easier for students to self-regulate their energy and focus, and I've already seen improvements in both participation and behavior.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with curiosity and joy. They eagerly tried out the wiggle seats and floor desks, and there was an immediate buzz of excitement. Many of them even said it felt like the classroom was made \"just for them.\" Now that we've had time to explore and adjust to using the new seating options, our next steps involve incorporating these tools into a project-based learning unit. Currently, students are working on group presentations about animals and their habitats, and the flexible seating is allowing for more dynamic collaboration and movement. Thanks to your generosity, my students have a more inclusive and supportive learning space that truly meets their needs.","fullyFundedDate":1742947447082,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating/9200331/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bates","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4696692"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_6090","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":254,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":75,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":25.1,"schoolId":6090,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Waterloo Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Waterloo Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/laurens-county-school-district-55/waterloo-elementary-school/6090"}
