Music study and performance enhance brain growth. Since I am a musician and have taken up the guitar again myself, this is a win-win situation. After my interview and Demo Class, several students spoke with me and revealing I am a musician, the request for a guitar was born! Having set guitars on-site helps me not have to transport more from home, and give CSA an opportunity to provide another bit of meaning to STEAM education. Studies show that when people study and perform music, parts of the brain activate that support the growth of the brain and its function.
