This book will open my students eyes to a different world that they may have not known of before. They love to learn about the world around them while making connections to those who are different. This group of students is so open to learning about different opinions and forming their own. They love to learn about the world around them while making connections to those who are different. I have used this book before in a different school district and it was amazing to see the students reactions. At the 7th grade level they are starting to understand real-world issues and I think it is important to help them understand, no matter what subject area.
