The materials that I am asking for are basic materials to set up a science classroom. These materials will be used on a weekly basis by all the classes that I teach. These materials will be able to be used for many years to come. My students will get an understanding and experience of using "real" lab equipment. This will give them a step in the right direction when entering a science classroom in college or trade school. By donating to my classroom you will not only be able to help set up and impact the students I teach today but the students I will teach in many years to come. I will be able to start to split the class in to lab groups giving each group their own beakers, graduated cylinders and thermometer. They will be able to split into smaller lab groups and get more experience using these lab materials. We will also have more time and be able to do more in-depth labs where the balance is used. This will give them the basics they need in the future. I believe with this they will potently be inspired to continue with science in their future.
