Many of my students don't have access to technology in their home environment. While we are fortunate enough to provide many of our students with instruments, they do not have access to the music libraries, practice techniques, and method books that are found all over the internet. I am asking for your help in providing our band program with a handful of tablets that we can loan to students to access music digitally. Music education in schools is waning, and with your help I want to expand music education and move our Band program into the future. In addition to providing our students with access to music digitally, I am planning to start a pilot project with a sample group of students so they can use technology as a way to develop and master their musical goals through tools such as smartmusic. Unfortunately, we don't have access to technology in the classroom and we don't have the budget to obtain it. Please help me grow and develop our music program through technology so that I can better help my students realize their musical goals. Thank you so much.
