My students will be able to experience first-hand what they see around them daily. They will experience farming for themselves! I have purchased a large variety of seeds to grow in our Aerogarden. The students will be able to help decide what to grow, help sow, water, and feed the vegetables we plant. I hope to be able to introduce them to some of the local crops they see growing in our small community. They will experience the smell, the textures, and the taste of various delicious greens. We will also use these vegetables to care for the Hermann's tortoise, Pistachio, that resides in our classroom.
