This project will allow not only my ELL students but all my students to practice listening, reading and gaining the confidence to become more confident readers today and everyday. This center will allow me to pull smaller groups more often and work more one on one with my students to give them the support they need to excel in Kindergarten. Kindergarten students are in constant need of time to engage in learning but also time to relax while learning. Books on CD allow students to put their feet up while still engaging in a story they LOVE to hear. With all the high demands in education, kindergartners still need that read aloud time. This listening center will allow my students to sit down with a nice book alone or with a partner and just engage in one of their favorite stories over and over again. Each time a reader rereads a a story it allows them to pick up on more and more knowledge. Please help me to bring back one of the best centers kindergarten has had to offer!
