I am so excited to be working with the little students at my school. Research has shown that children learn through play. What better way to increase my students' language skills than play some games, do some puzzles and make some crafts to hang on the refrigerator at home?! The materials requested would allow me to work with my students in a way that was engaging to them. It would get them excited to come “play” in speech, while secretly growing their ability to follow directions, take turns, recognize vocabulary, sequence events, etc. All of these skills will increase their readiness for kindergarten.
