The Recharge Room is a mindful space for the students to relax and rejuvenate to help them focus in the classroom. It is a safe space used primarily as a reinforcement for positive behaviors in their core classes. They earn tickets so they can attend during their electives. They can play games, do art projects, or just meet new friends. We make fidgets and brain bottles too. We also use the space for small group counseling and mediations. I would like to provide furnishings like rugs and alternate seating to make the space more relaxing. I would like them to have access to materials so they can do art projects, make fidgets, and engage in STEM activities.
