As a first-year teacher, I have been striving to create a classroom environment that is engaging, welcoming, and inspiring to my students. I consider my classroom library corner to be one of the most important and most used areas of the classroom. I would love for my students to have a comfortable space that they can use to dive into their favorite books. A library is a place for students to explore, think, grow, and use their imagination. The couch, floor cushions, and bean bag will be used in our library area for comfortable and flexible seating during independent and partner reading. The addition of leveled books for emergent readers and books with Spanish text for bilingual students will give my students more options to choose from for their daily reading.
