The materials I am requesting for are to help with flexible seating. Oftentimes I ask students to be flexible, this involves where to sit. Some students can learn in the standard desk or chair, while others struggle. They need to be able to move around when working. Right now, the school has old desks and chairs that are hard to get in and out of. The desks are also hard to move around in if a student needs movement. The different stools allow the students to move around while sitting at tables. The higher table and chairs allows a student and I to have personable conversation. The table and chair also give the student a different place to work once a lesson is done at the kidney table. The whiteboards and markers will allow for students to work elsewhere in the classroom and still do work. The whiteboards also act as a way to have students work without using pencils and paper at all times. We do not all learn in the same way, but flexible seating helps get us started. The students work hard on what they are learning, and as a teacher I want to make sure they're learning in the best position they can. It is my job as their teacher to help these students find a love in learning. These donations help to change the student's lives, for the better.
