My students are excited about Art. They come in the Art Room and are able to create hands on projects, My vision is to have a variety of supplies and create an atmosphere where they can design art that makes them proud. Looking forward, I would like to transition our Art Room to more choice based activities to give students greater autonomy. When students have choice they will be more engaged because they can do the activities they enjoy. More advanced students have expressed interest in scratch art as one of the activity choices. Third grade has started doing drawing journals for which we need drawing paper. They see me twice a week and draw every time in addition to their other projects.
