My students will be able to come together in the morning for morning meeting lessons for homeroom. This includes social emotional lessons, ice breakers, and classmate shout outs and recognition. The rug will be a meeting place for introducing new skills such as learning how to inference, and reviewing skills such as theme and main idea of non fiction texts. Students will be able to meet on the rug for viewing student work under the projector, modeling specific strategies, and note taking. Students can work with each other on the carpet in partners to share work and ideas with each other
