Teaching young children to have a passion for reading is the first step in ensuring a bright future! In an effort to build that passion for our students, my kindergarten team and I have created a home-school connection by providing engaging leveled reading materials that our students take home daily. This allows parents and their children to interact while developing beginning reading skills. The bins we are requesting will provide a place to store and organize these take-home reading materials. It is our goal for the students to take a different book home daily. The bins will allow our students to take ownership in this process. Students will also learn responsibility and appropriate care of school materials while fostering literacy.
