Will you help me provide Life Saving medical Equipment to my students? Every school should have enough Stop the Bleed kits available possible to help when disaster strikes. In the past, going to school was simple. Students and Staff did not have to worry about dangerous events such as active shooters or bomb threats. Time is very important in an emergency situation. More than half of people with traumatic injuries, including hemorrhaging, die within minutes of the accident or injury. If you’re able to get treatment, your outlook improves. The faster you can receive help, the greater your chance of surviving. Stop the Bleed was developed by medical professionals after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that sadly took the lives of 20 children and six staff members in Newtown, Connecticut, in 2012. Our school is located in a rural area with the nearest hospital over 6 miles from us. It takes about 16 minutes to get to the hospital without traffic delays. When suffering from loss of blood, minutes, even seconds count. In an emergent situation these kits would greatly benefit our students and staff if ever needed. I hope we never need to use them but in the event we did, your donation could save lives! Thank you for considering my request for funding.
