My grandpa was an art teacher for over 40 years. For many of those years, he taught art on television to students in third and fourth grade. This Christmas, I was given his old art episodes, and I cannot wait to share them with my class! With these supplies, my students will be able to have more dedicated art enrichment time, learn better techniques, and be able to create gallery walks throughout our school. The stools will provide flexible seating options for my students while they work in a differentiated small group. Our rural Title I school does not have a separate art class or art instructor so all of the planning, preparation, and instruction is the classroom teacher's responsibility. With better materials and supplies, my kids' art will flourish. This is a part of the day when their smiles are the biggest and they are able to express themselves in so many creative ways.
