With access to these books, students will for the first time get to take home and keep a book that they can read closely, annotate and think critically about...their own book! Not only will students read and consider characters, themes and authors craft in this novel, they will also write their own fantasy stories after Pullman himself. This unit will culminate in students engaging in gamification of the novel. Students will work in teams to create their own digital or board game based on the book. Students will share and play their games sign the Wild er s book community.
