Mathematical Magic can occur in my classroom, with the help of headphones! My students all have access to an online mathematical program called Dreambox. It is an adaptive technology that meets students on their ability level. It is almost like each student has their own personal tutor! When teaching English Language Learners, it is important for them to listen to English models and receive immediate feedback to help them close the learning gap. This is why the students desperately need headphones: to help them access this amazing personalized technology! Without headphones, it is difficult for younger students to focus when they are distracted with the other noises in the classroom. Headphones would allow them to focus better, so they can most effectively utilize the program!
