I am requesting metal mutes so my students can have practice time. We have a small strings room. The kids often work in small music groups that requires space to practice on their own during class time. We don't have practice rooms so we use the hallway. However, we do not want to cause disruption to other classes in the process. The mutes will allow my students to continue practicing in the hallway while other classes can continue with minimal distraction. This will allow multiple music string groups to work at the same time. Students who need extra practice will be able to utilize the hallway as well.
