Throughout the programming course, my computer science students create various programs, often ranging from simple lines to complex algorithms. This is all part of the full year computer science course, which focuses on the basics of the computer programming language. This course starts from the basics of coding, including the programming skeleton and syntax, which the students eventually apply to more complex problems that could be solved by creating algorithms. Although my students are creating exceptional programs and algorithms, they lack the materials to apply their work in real life. Using this Alpha 1 Pro Humanoid Robot, my students will be able to not only create programs to control the robot, but they will be able to physically see their actual work product. Additionally, hands-on work with the robot gives students more motivation to solve problems. Through the use of this robot, they will have an authentic and memorable programming experience.
