We are seeking supplies to build and create in our high school library to transform it from a book and study room to an all-out workspace. Graduated students often complain they do not get enough life skills taught in high school and we would love to be able to teach them skills that are, to many, considered "basics". Acquiring tools for building and constructing, face-to-face students can try their hands at some of these basics, like drilling, building, soldering, as well as 3D printing, for those odd items we may lack. Small clinics would be held by various students and staff members. If recorded, we can have a good reserve of instructional videos for those students learning from home. These online students can also participate by curbside check-out of some items as well as the ability to submit remote requests for 3D printed items. While we have started to gather-- tools for the basics portion, 3D printers are more of a hardship for even the students who are not of a lower socio-economic status.
