These leveled readers will help newcomer EL students have access to more books at their reading level. The high frequency words and simple sentences will help them develop their language further in both guided and independent reading. I am hoping they will help build confidence in my students as well as give them a better foundation for reading. I work with students in small EL groups, and there is a high demand for books at beginning levels of English. Having more access to level-appropriate material for these students will give them the opportunity to grow as readers, building their language skills.

About my class
