The book we are asking for in particular will introduce students to the vampire trend in gothic art and literature. It will also introduce students to many of the genre’s key traits in a high-interest way that will enable them to write argumentative essays that define traits of the genre. This text contains many of the gothic elements that have set the trend for the 20th and 21st century as the gothic genre has taken a stronghold in the media of today. Students will be able to analyze key elements and techniques of the novel to use for analysis through discussion and writing.
