Many students are interested in genetics, but struggle with making the necessary connections to have a deeper understanding. Using these supplies, students will be able to see in-person the results of genetic crosses and how the genotypes are related to the phenotypes. This is done by the students germinating the seeds to grow the fast plants. Once the plants have grown, students will observe the differences between the parent generations and their offspring. Tracking these changes will allow students to see first-hand how slight changed from generation to generation are expressed through genetics.
