Schools and classrooms can be distracting places at times so by donating funds to buy headphones, you will be providing students with the uninterrupted listening time, where they can zone into a good story or activity and not have any noise distraction. By providing students with a class set of headphones they will be able to tune out any distraction and listen to the stories/activities with ease, allowing them to focus better and engage them in their online reading activities. I hope to inspire my students to enjoy reading in a variety of engaging ways. My goal is for students to learn that reading is fun and to build their confidence in selecting texts that they will enjoy. Students will have access to a variety of reading texts/activities online, this will allow them to choose texts or activities which may be more interesting to them.
