Despite living in a low income/high poverty neighborhood, where drugs and violence are common,these are the most wonderfully talented young musicians! Our school is an urban K-8 fine and performing arts school. I want to offer my students the opportunity to be the best performers they can be! They are hard working and deserve nothing but the best from our public school education system. My students are highly motivated and I inspire them to reach their goals every single day. They come from a diverse background. 80% of my students eat a free healthy breakfast every morning, with the same amount of students receiving free lunch. Most of my students have learned English as their second language. Despite their many social and economic hardships, my students walk into our music room every day ready to perform!
