Preschool students learn through play and experimentation. Dramatic Play is a huge part of our learning time. We use both pretend and realistic props in our center and the kids LOVE playing house and cooking meals for each other. We have already had a pretend bakery and fire station, and will be creating an ice cream and garden shop soon! Another large part of preschool is learning letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and even sight words. Task boxes are great time savers and helpful during small group and center times. The boxes have different levels of learning to help all learners be successful. Some of the tasks boxes include working on patterning, letter matching, sight word matching, and 1:1 counting.
