Learning a language cannot be separated from experiencing the culture in real life. I would love to help my students get as many opportunities as possible to step out of the classroom and get in touch with people from the target culture and interact with them in the target language! During this trip, my students will have the chance to learn Chinese culture in the local China Culture Center, tour San Francisco Chinatown with a guide, and also practice their language skills with people! This trip will not only serve as a cultural trip for my students. During this trip, they will have tasks such as Chinese words scavenger hunt, shopping and bargaining in Mandarin and much more! They will also record a reflection of their trip and shopping in Mandarin! Your donation and support will empower my students to learn the language in a deeper way!
