My students will be exposed to folk art from Latin America and as a culmination we will make our own paper mache art project. We will look at masks, suns, moons, and animals from Latin American folk art as inspiration to create our own art. Then I will guide them in the steps to follow to make their project but they will have the freedom to create their art piece, however they see fit in order to promote creativity and problem solving. During the process they will also have a chance to interact socially with their peers to bond with them and create memories.
