At Austin ISD's Burnet Middle School, we brought a Robotics program to help serve our 100% economically disadvantaged, 50%+ English Language Learner population, 96% ethnic minority population. We are still growing and need your help! We are a new program, so we don't have much. I have been at the school for 9 years now, transferring over from teaching History to Technology so that I could help the students take advantage of the burgeoning technology community in Austin. It is wonderful to see these students, who have so many out-of-school issues and who struggle with the language gap, take off when using hands-on tech.
