Our student population consists of high need and ELL students. Half of our student population consists of ELLs; students learning the English language. In order to reach and meet each student's needs, teachers try to implement language rich materials. In order to do this, many teachers purchase literature from their own funds. In order to help lighten the load of funding, we are hopeful to find a donor that would be willing to fund mentor texts. The books will be used in a whole class setting and small group settings, in which the teacher will help students express their thought process in their native language. Books will be offered on various reading levels. We have 35 languages represented in our school. With your donation, we can meet the needs of all learners academically and with their language skills. Thank you.
