Sensory integration will help regulate my student's absorbent behaviors by providing deep pressure, pressure release, and calming their senses before escalation. Flexible seating helps to give my students an option of where to sit and what space to sit in. I have seen a huge success when they are given the choice of where they are going to sit during an activity or lesson. This also helps with their coping skills as they will feel more relaxed when they are in control of their area and choosing where they can comfortably sit. This is a huge component with the social emotional learning in my classroom.
