The items that I am requesting will be used in a new sensory room at our school. I have special needs students who struggle day-to-day to function in the regular classroom due to sensory needs. The number of students who have sensory needs continues to grow. This room will allow them to decompress and successfully return to class ready to learn. My students will be more engaged and productive in their classrooms, because their sensory needs can be met in a safe, fun environment at school. Our school is not yet equipped to meet sensory needs of our unique learners, but these sensory items will allow us to create this learning space for them.

About my class
