From seed or cutting to full grown yum, this project will provide our students and families with opportunities to not only examine the growth of plants up close, but also consider the impact soil has on the nutrition within our garden system. As we leverage project based practices with experiential learning, here at DreamHouse, this project will help us to connect our community with our garden plants on a palate pleasing level. Through demonstration at school and experimenting at home, students and family will be able to cook and taste the produce, share recipes and extend learning. This project will help our range of learners to navigate complex concepts related to various natural systems and consider the delicate balance that exists between humans and nature. With a vision of fostering our students into community oriented leaders for our future, this project will help to ignite conversations around sustainable solutions for our community and food system.
