My students will be presented timely information about current world topics at a level that is appropriate for their needs and abilities. Since many of the families in this area speak mostly Spanish, this will give my English Language Learners the ability to share this information with their families. This will help our entire community. I will use these Scholastic Readers in my classroom as combined Reading and Social Studies lessons. There are activities that are included so that my students can practice showing their reading skills that they are learning in class.
