These materials will make a difference in my student's learning by allowing them hands-on experience with plants, seeds and rocks, and soil. Reading about these elements of the world they live in is one thing, but to be able to plant a seed and watch it go through the phases of germinating, sprouting and becoming a plant, is something else altogether. Science is one of the parts of the curriculum that often gets neglected because of the cost of materials and family's inability to cover those costs. Being supported through this program by the generous donors who partner with teachers and schools, will allow my students experiences they would otherwise not get.
