The kits that I'm requesting will allow many students to be able to build and program Lego WeDo projects. One project is called Milo, the science robot. After he is built, students can build attachments and sensors that work with the environment. Another project is a windmill that can be programmed to spin in either direction, make sounds and light up. STEM projects, like the Lego WeDo kits, allow students the opportunity to practice 21st century skills, such as collaboration, communication, and perseverance. These projects use technology in a way that encourages students to talk and problem solve together. Students are completely engaged while learning and practicing vital skills. Having the kits will allow many children the joy of touching, building, and creating something. This is learning at its best!
