Steve Gross will be at the conference this year. He is the founder and chief playmaker at the Life is Good Kids Foundation. He is a pioneer in utilizing playful engagement and meaningful relationships to overcome the devastating impact of early childhood trauma. I feel his insights will be invaluable working with the special needs new comers population. I am very passionate about music and movement activities in our classroom so I was very excited to learn that Grammy nominated Greg & Steve are just one of the Keynote speakers at this years convention! As a special education teacher, I look forward to learning more fun ways to encourage movement and teach basic concepts like friendship, cooperation, and social-emotional development through music. Our school just got clever touch boards and I hope to learn from the 30 year masters how best to present their material. The convention is also a great time to network as well as refresh and learn the latest in open-ended art ideas. The exhibitors hall also gives me the ability to try hands-on materials to see if they would work for my students.
